Explore Uppland is all about creating meaningful experiences and introducing travellers to our corner of Scandinavia. While we showcase the region’s most iconic sites, we also take you beyond the obvious - to places, stories and experiences that feel more personal and unique.

We work with both small private groups and larger tours, always with the same passion for great guiding. Whether we are exploring cities, hiking in the nature, cycling through the landscape or travelling by bus or train, our goal is simple: to create experiences that feel genuine, well-balanced and memorable.

With our experience from working with a wide range of travellers – from school groups to young adventurers and senior groups – we understand how to adapt each tour to the people joining it. Combined with strong local knowledge and a trusted network of partners across the region, we can recommend and design experiences that truly fit each group.

Explore Uppland was founded by Kristofer, who has worked in the travel industry for most of his life. After travelling around the world, he founded Scanbalt Experience in 2007 and ran the company until 2019, when it was sold. The company focused on trips for young travellers exploring Scandinavia and the Baltic region. Since then, Kristofer has continued working as a tour leader, guide and advisor within the industry - always with a strong passion for creating great travel experiences.
